The Carver’s 10th Annual Golf Classic, held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Norwalk’s prestigious Shorehaven Golf Club, was a tremendous success. This year’s event saw 28 foursomes take on the celebrated 18-hole waterfront course designed by legendary architects Willie Park, Jr. and Robert White. Known for its picturesque setting and challenging play, Shorehaven provided the perfect backdrop for a day of camaraderie, competition, and fundraising for Carver children.

Blessed with beautiful weather, golfers enjoyed prevailing sea breezes, fast greens, and numerous sand traps that tested their skills. The forgiving multiple tee boxes and scenic waterfront views ensured an enjoyable experience for golfers of all abilities and ages.

The day began with participants gathering at the clubhouse, where they took advantage of the top-notch facilities, including the pro shop and putting green. An abundant lunch and open bar set the stage for a day filled with fellowship and excitement. The golfers demonstrated competitive spirit and community support as the shotgun tournament commenced.

Post-tournament festivities included refreshments, a delectable dinner, prizes, and a silent auction, all of which contributed to the event’s fundraising efforts. The Carver extends heartfelt thanks to the leadership at Shorehaven Golf Club, particularly James Connolly, Marco Rojas, Head Golf Pro Mike Laganza, and Chef Sergio Reyes, for their expert support and hospitality.
