Carver Edge: Building the Future Beyond the Classroom
High school is when possibilities begin turning into decisions—about college, careers, independence, and the future. Carver Edge brings Carver’s high school opportunities together into a connected pathway designed to help students explore what interests them, build practical skills, gain meaningful experience, and move toward life after graduation with confidence.
Carver Edge extends learning beyond the traditional classroom through Carver Voices, the CT State/Carver Certification Program, College Readiness, Carver Innovator, Driver’s Edge, leadership development, wellness, creative opportunities, career exploration, internships, and other real-world experiences. Students can find their voice, earn credentials, explore careers, prepare for college, develop new skills, and connect with adults and organizations that can help open doors.
The idea behind Carver Edge is simple: students should not have to wait until after high school to begin discovering where their interests and abilities can take them. Explore the flipbook below to see the opportunities Carver Edge is creating for high school students.

Carver Voices
A new student voice and storytelling initiative that gives high school students the tools and platform to explore issues that matter to them, develop communication and media skills, and share their perspectives with the broader community.
CT State/Carver Certification Program
In partnership with CT State Community College Norwalk, Carver is creating pathways for high school students to earn recognized credentials while still in school. Initial opportunities include EMT and Bookkeeping certification, connecting classroom learning directly to college and career pathways.
College Readiness
Carver helps students navigate the journey from high school to higher education through college exploration, application and essay support, financial-aid and scholarship guidance, campus experiences, and individualized planning for life after graduation.
Carver Innovator
Students develop creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and entrepreneurial thinking through hands-on, project-based challenges. The program encourages young people to turn ideas into solutions while building skills that matter in college, careers, and an increasingly technology-driven world.
Driver’s Edge
Carver helps eligible high school students work toward one of the most practical milestones of independence: earning a driver’s license. The program provides access to driver education and support designed to remove a significant barrier to employment, college, internships, and other opportunities.
