Financial Accountability & Transparency
Each year, Carver undergoes a comprehensive independent financial audit—and year after year, the results are consistently “clean” (an unmodified opinion), the best outcome a nonprofit can receive. Our financial statements are presented fairly and in full compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). A clean audit without notes reflects accuracy, transparency, compliance, and effective financial management—qualities that inspire the trust and confidence of our donors, partners, and community.
In addition, Carver completes an annual Single Audit, a rigorous, organization-wide review of federal and state funding. These audits are also consistently 100% clean, with no material findings on performance objectives or compliance.
Carver’s commitment to excellence in governance and accountability is also recognized nationally. We meet all 20 standards of the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance and consistently earn top ratings from Charity Navigator and Candid/Guidestar, affirming our transparency, effectiveness, and integrity.
