Middle School, Big Possibilities: Carver’s Youth Development Program

The middle school years are a time of tremendous growth—when young people begin discovering their interests, developing greater independence, and imagining who they want to become. Carver’s Youth Development Program (YDP) provides a safe, welcoming, and engaging after-school environment where students can navigate these important years with caring adults, new experiences, and a strong sense of belonging.

Through academic support, hands-on enrichment, STEM and technology, arts and creativity, leadership development, health and wellness, cultural exploration, community service, and real-world experiences, YDP gives students opportunities to learn well beyond the classroom. Along the way, they build confidence, strengthen friendships, develop teamwork and life skills, and discover interests and abilities that can help shape their future.

At Carver, middle school is more than a bridge between elementary and high school. It is an opportunity to help young people find their strengths, develop their voice, and take their next steps with confidence.
