Describe your favorite memory at the Ponus Ridge Middle School Summer Transition Program.

“I saw one of my friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. We were good friends in kindergarten and then got split up since then because we went to different schools, but we met again here.”

Who is your role model?

“I look up to my sister because she helps me with anything that I’m struggling with. She’s 14 .”

What do you want to be when you grow up?

“A teacher. I really like all of the subjects we learn, but I love art, so I think I would like to be an art teacher.”

What is your biggest dream?

“I want to be able to sing in front of people without getting nervous.”

Describe an accomplishment that you’re proud of.

“Once I sang in front of a lot of people at church. I was still really nervous but I was happy I did it. I sang a song in Spanish.”

How has this program helped you prepare for middle school?

“Now I know how many periods there are and where I need to go.”

What’s the most important lesson that you’ve learned at this program?

“I need to be really, really organized for middle school.”

How would you describe this program to someone who doesn’t know what it is?

“It’s really fun and a great experience.”
