A donor sponsored a charter fishing boat on Friday afternoon to give Carver kids an opportunity to discover nature up-close and personally. Based out of Norwalk, Connecticut, Pelagic Beast Fishing Charters offer unforgettable fishing adventures, using tried and tested fishing techniques that worked for our students.

Tracey Elementary School designated a National School of Character
Character.org just designated Tracey Elementary School as a National School of Character. Tracey is the only school in the state of Connecticut to earn this national title, joining 87 schools and 3 districts in 24 states across the country. This follows the state character designation made earlier this year. Character.org will honor Tracey at the 2019 National Forum to be held Oct 24-27, 2019 in Washington, DC. Carver awarded the school’s principal, Theresa Rangel, with the Child of America award on May 3rd.
Carver Community Center breaks ground for its new playground!
a successful fundraising drive led by student volunteers, we are breaking ground on the new playground for the Carver Community Center. The interns from New Canaan High School planned and implemented this campaign.
Carver's aging playground was built for pre-kindergartgen children. What we are now building is a playground with all the latest safety and fun learning features for K-5 aged children, including a new padded surface that ties together all the pieces of our planned playground together.
