Megan Lott Leads the Way in Spreading Holiday Cheer to Youth at the Carver Community Center

The holiday spirit is alive and well at the Carver Community Center, thanks to the efforts of Megan Lott, President of the Westport Garden Club and active member of the Westport Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL). Megan’s dedication to community service shines brightly this holiday season as both organizations come together to collect and donate gifts for Carver’s youth.

The Westport Garden Club, celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2024, collected gifts for children aged 18 months to 12 years. Founded in 1924, this historic organization has long been a cornerstone of community engagement in Westport, Connecticut, promoting environmental stewardship and enhancing the area's natural beauty. The club’s centennial year is a testament to its enduring commitment to service and its role in fostering a deep connection to nature in the local community.

Meanwhile, the Westport Chapter of the National Charity League, where Megan is also an active participant, gathered gifts specifically for teens, aligning with the age range of their Ticktocker members, who span grades 7 through 12. Founded in 2006, the Westport Chapter is part of the national NCL organization, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2025. Through its dedication to philanthropy and strengthening mother-daughter relationships, the NCL continues to impact Carver and communities across the country.

Both organizations brought their collective generosity to Carver’s doorstep, hosting spirited collection events and ensuring that children and teens in Norwalk will have a brighter holiday season. These gifts will be distributed at three special events at the Carver Community Center: the first on December 13 and the following on December 19, 20, and 21.

Megan Lott’s dual roles in leading the Westport Garden Club and contributing to the National Charity League exemplify the power of collaboration and community service. Her leadership, tireless efforts, and the support of both organizations are a wonderful reminder of how giving back can transform lives and strengthen the bonds within our communities.

The Carver Community Center is deeply grateful to Megan, the Westport Garden Club, and the Westport Chapter of the National Charity League for their heartfelt contributions. Together, they are making this holiday season one to remember for countless local youth and families.
