Old and new Carver friends gathered for fun fellowship and to learn about the great work being accomplished Carver youth, thanks to the hospitality and leadership of Michael Mushak and David Westmoreland. Their majestic home high up on a hill overlooking the City of Norwalk and Long Island Sound offered a unique experience for everyone who joined us.
Funds raised on Thursday, September 19th will support Carver scholars to succeed in school and in life.
Mayor Rilling and Carver CEO’s Novelette Peterkin welcomed everyone and spoke about the history and current trajectory of the Carver mission and programming. Current Carver college students and Carver alumni shared their experiences growing up in the Carver community and now as they progress with each of their academic and professional careers.
Connections are house parties hosted by Carver allies year-round in Norwalk and neighboring towns. We welcome Carver advocates who would like to work with Carver staff to organize their own house party for the benefit of Carver youth.
