Today, Carver campers attending our Summer Enrichment Program at the Carver Community Center and Columbus Magnet School are spending the day at Lake Compounce (campers who are 7 to 13) and Playland Park (campers who are 5 to 6 years old).

Lake Compounce is an amusement park located in Bristol and Southington, Connecticut. Opened in 1846, it is the oldest continuously operating amusement park in the United States. It spans 332 acres, which includes a beach and a water park called Crocodile Cove.

Playland, often called Rye Playland and also known as Playland Amusement Park, is an amusement park located in Rye, New York. It is owned by Westchester County. Beginning with the 2018 season, Standard Amusements LLC has been contracted to operate the park.
