Describe your favorite memory at the Brien McMahon High School Summer Transition Program.
“My favorite memory was just hanging out with my friends here. We had a basketball tournament for 2 hours that was a lot of fun.”
Who is your role model?
“My dad. He teaches me a lot and I relate to him a lot.”
What do you want to be when you grow up?
“I’d like to be in the NBA, but I’d also like to work with technology since that’s where the future is headed.”
What is your biggest dream?
“To go to Hawaii or Dubai.”
Describe an accomplishment that you’re proud of.
“Making it to high school.”
How has this program helped you prepare for high school?
“They take you on a tour of the school so that you have a headstart and you don’t get lost on the first day. You get to know more people so you get to have more friends since it can be hard for people to go into a school not really knowing anybody.”
What’s the most important lesson that you’ve learned at this program?
“Watch who you hang out with.”
How would you describe this program to someone who doesn’t know what it is?
“It’s a warm-up for high school. Middle school is very different so this program teaches you how to be successful in high school.”
