The 138-year-old institution in Cleveland’s University Circle is conducting the final faculty critiques online, hosting virtual exhibitions of student work on its website and scheduling an online graduation ceremony for May 15.
On top of all that, the graduating class — roughly 140 students majoring in everything from biomedical illustration to painting, photography, animation, ceramics, industrial design, and interior design — will head into the job market amid a massive recession.

“It’s just heartbreaking,’’ said Nicole Limon, 24, a photographer and Toledo native. “I felt it just got ripped away from me,’’ she said, adding that adjusting to a new reality has been “a grieving process.”
Jobs won’t be easy to find, but seniors are adapting with grit, courage and, of course, creativity.
