Arthur Mintzer talked with middle school students after school at the Carver Community Center yesterday to help them understand the routes they can take to prepare for college and for their careers. Arthur shared his personal story of how he navigated school, early job opportunities, college, and his remarkable career — and the students were engaged and fascinated. Arthur is a volunteer member of Social Venture Partners — Connecticut. SVP-CT selected Carver several years ago to invest their volunteer talent and financial support to help Carver advance its mission.
Arthur has nearly 30 years of experience in corporate technology roles. He spent 25 years at Pfizer and more recently worked at Bridgewater Associates. He held various senior leadership positions leading large, global teams responsible for enterprise technology solutions, M&A integration programs and strategic projects. Arthur has a passion for helping organizations by ensuring their technology and business operations are optimized to help them achieve their mission and vision.
Through his career and personal travel, Arthur gained vast international experience including working in and visiting over 45 countries around the world. He and his family lived in London for ten years and are dual US/UK citizens.
Arthur is active in various community organizations in addition to Carver. Focused on youth education and development Arthur is involved with Builders Beyond Borders, A Better Chance of Westport and Child Advocates. Arthur is also on the board and teaches classes for Junior Achievement of Southwest Connecticut.
Arthur received a BA in Computer Science from Colgate University and an MBA in Finance and Management from Columbia University. He and his wife Martha recently moved from Weston, where their two sons graduated high school, to Norwalk.
