Recently, Carver’s after-school program at Side By Side hosted a unique Parent Engagement Initiative that brought families into the school to bond over a beloved activity: making pizzas!

Nestled in the heart of downtown South Norwalk, Side By Side Charter School has been a beacon of innovative education since its founding in 1997. With its independent status, the school can explore creative approaches to learning and foster a sense of belonging among its 235 students, who represent diverse towns and cities across Connecticut.

Carver has provided after-school and summer programs for Side by Side students for many years. The after-school Parent Engagement Initiative is just one example of Side By Side's commitment to involving parents in their children's education journey.
