Celebrating Generosity: Near & Far Aid Association’s $15,000 Grant to Carver Foundation

The Carver is honored to announce that it has received a $15,000 general operating grant from the Near & Far Aid Association. This incredible support reflects the association’s enduring support of Carver Kids and its dedication to combating poverty and fostering sustainable change in Fairfield County.

For 75 years, Near & Far Aid has been a cornerstone in the fight against poverty, channeling resources into programs that provide food, shelter, education, and opportunities for financial stability. Their all-volunteer model ensures that at least 95 cents of every net dollar raised goes directly to supporting critical services for needy individuals and families. This remarkable commitment has allowed them to invest in Fairfield County agencies, funding initiatives that tackle systemic issues and empower communities to thrive.

Carver shares this vision of breaking cycles of poverty through education, workforce development, and enrichment opportunities. This grant enables us to continue offering impactful programs such as academic support, STEAM enrichment, and college readiness for Norwalk’s youth, helping them realize their full potential. It also allows us to deepen our outreach and strengthen our role in transforming lives within the community.

As organizations with a shared 4-star Charity Navigator rating for transparency and accountability, Carver and Near & Far Aid exemplify the power of partnership. Together, we address urgent needs while laying the groundwork for a brighter future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Near & Far Aid Association for their continued faith in our mission and for playing a vital role in uplifting Fairfield County’s most vulnerable residents. Your generosity fuels hope, opportunity, and positive change.

Together, we are targeting poverty and changing lives.
