Halloween party inspires Carver kids' gaiety, creativity and sprightliness
The Carver community produces an annual Halloween Party for the neighborhood and for Carver kids from across Norwalk. Carver community events are empowered by many generous volunteers who bring their resources and enthusiasm to these occasions that joyfully engage our youth and their families. On Friday, October 25th, Carver volunteers created great excitement and joy for the Carver community!

About a dozen teens from the Youth Community Fund group of the Community Fund of Darien organized and delivered this year’s Halloween Party at the Carver Community Center. These teens are Darien High School students. They produced many of the same activities this year that they brought to Carver kids in prior years, including face painting, tattoos, bean bag toss, ping pong ball toss, witches hat game, and arts projects like coloring pages and stickers. Some of the teens’ parents participated as well.
Candy and refreshments were also enjoyed by all the kids.
There was also the haunted house on the second floor of the Carver Community Center that is always a scary favorite for Carver kids!
A parent at Greens Farms Elementary School in Westport chaired the third annual Carver costume and coat drive at the school that benefited many of our kids this year. The drive is three weeks long and each year our youth have an abundance of magnificent costumes from which they can select their favorite heroes and fairy tale characters!
Halloween is a time for fun and engagement with our carver families, thanks to carver’s many friends and advocates!
